The I Latin American Conference on Statistical Computing - LACSC will be held in Gramado, State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, from July 22-24, 2016. The organization of this meeting will be carried out jointly by the International Association of Statistical Computing (IASC), the Brazilian Statistical Association (ABE) and the Department of Statistics at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul.
The purpose of the I LACSC is to bring together researchers that use computational statistical methods, to share and discuss ways to improve the access to knowledge, and promote interdisciplinary collaborations. The scientific program will be very appealing for most statisticians and other researchers interested in computational methods and data analysis, and will include invited paper sessions, contributed paper sessions and contributed posters.
Statistical Computing for Data Science
Aim of the conference:
This conference aims to furnish a forum for the discussion and exchange of new ideas, concepts and recent methods regarding statistical computing for information society. Intellectual stimulation of research on statistical computing for Data Science is expected at this meeting.
